That's wonderful that you had a teacher who believed in you and your abilities as a child! I think having someone like a teacher who gives you support, boosts your confidence as a child and into adulthood. The picture is very sweet.
Ana- as a former ESL teacher, I think it is so wonderful that you remember yours. My most touching moment as an ESL teacher was when one of my 8th grade boys cried the last day of school, because he was heading to the high school. He said to me "please forgive me for anything bad I do in the future," and sobbed on my shoulder. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about him. Even as an 11th grader now, he still asks about me and has other teachers tell me how much he misses me. YAY for ESL teachers :)
